CPS 109

Went over to CPS this morning and loved the sketch challenge they have going on right now. I had some scraps laying on my table so I threw this card together quick to post. I love it when sketches are simple, because you can interpret them in so many ways. Sometimes a sketch is so elaborate that its hard to find enough pieces that will all coordinate. Most times simple is better!
The pieces here are from My Minds Eye, the buttons and sentiment are from a baby kit I got years ago (not sure who made them...sorry) and the ribbon is from SU.

sunday already?!

Yes, I have got the Sunday blues...can't believe the weekend is over already. So a quick post for all of you before I have to run off and get things ready for another week.

This box, which I still need to fill full of goodies is a french fry box from Creative Cuts and More. Amazing how you can dress up a french fry box isn't it? The flowers are from Prima and Eye-Lets Etc., the hardware is from Blue Hill and Making Memories & the sentiment is from Stampin' UP! The ribbon, well it is unknown at this point. For some reason my ribbon box has been turned into a big ball of mish mash. Gonna have to clean that up one of these days.

Thanks for looking and hope you all have a great Monday!

Toot!

I have been playing around on the computer most of today, because there is a blizzard going on outside! I went over to Paper Crafts Connection and what a surprise to see my card as the winner of their Stamp It! Week challenge. There were five categories, my card won for the "build a scene" challenge...yippee! This is the card I made using the Creative Cuts and More rabbit and oval window card with mat.
See it pays to surf the net on a blizzardie day.

A shout out to my blogging friend Cat, she also had a card that won. Cat did made a stunning card for the "color with markers" challenge. Gorgeous card Cat using stamps created by Melanie. A shout out as well to Linda Beeson, who always leaves me such nice comments!! Linda won the "Adding Color With Dye Ink Spray" category.
Congrats ladies!

For Me?

I am so happy my JustRite order came today. I am a complete newbie to this product, after playing with it...I love it!!
I used the sketch challenge over at Caardvarks to create this card. I thought it would be nice to have some of my own stationary, so I used my monogram.
Watch out I will be personalizing everything now! LOL Actually that is why I purchased the JustRite stamps, so that I could personalize more of my 3D items that I have for sale over at PAS.
Thanks for stopping!

Girl's Who Love Hockey

Well I am one of them, I love my Avalanche (NHL)...even when they aren't doing the best.
This card was made using a stamp that my good friend Carrie sent me last year for my b'day. All of the other pieces are die cuts from Creative Cuts and More. Love that hockey stick die!

Sorry such a quick post today, running out of time...the day is flying!!

Who wouldn't want to be...

a Queen for the day? Of course I would love to be a Queen for the day and do nothing but play! Isn't that what we all would like to do? LOL

I made this card up for CPS challenge #107. Haven't played over there in a while so I thought I would jump on this challenge. Nothing like a challenge to get your creative juices flowing!
For this card I used some card stock cut outs from My Minds Eye, which are from the "Grow" series I believe...of course I could be wrong. The pocket with window and tag and Bazzill Bling card stock are from Creative Cuts and More. Last but not least the sentiment, is a rub on from Stampin' UP!

Take Out anyone??

WOW has it really been a week already since my last post. I guess time flies when you are having fun, huh?!

I have actually been busy trying to start a new blog where people can order finished die cut products. A new little venture, we will see where it takes me. I will still post here with all of the cards and 3D items I am making, so don't worry, you are stuck with me...ha ha!

So onto to the project here... the adorable mini "Take Out Box" from Creative Cuts and More. These little cuties are only a couple of inches wide by 1 1/2" inches tall. There are holes for a handle, but my original plan was to stack a bunch on top of each other and a handle would just get in the way. So I covered the holes with ribbon, then only had time enough to make a few...oh well, next time!

One of my kids is sick with the flu, so I will be home for the next couple of days. Hopefully I will be able to sneak in a few minutes of crafty time, while he is sleeping. LOL

Thanks for looking!

Baby Girl

Here is the second set of baby cards and shoes that I made. This set is for a very dear girlfriend of mine who's baby shower is this weekend. I wanted to do something a little less traditional, I am sure she will receive a lot of pink!

This Creative Cuts and More baby shoe die cut was cut from Opal metallic paper, so its nice and shimmery. The flowers are Prima and the brads are Memory Makers.

The card uses a lot of Stampin' UP! products, like the DP, stamped image, punches and card stock. The ribbon is from Club Wed, which you can find at Target (it was on clearance...sweet!). LOVE Target!! The scalloped oval is by Marvy Uchida.

I hope my girlfriend likes this set, as well as the gift of course. Hopefully her friends will keep me in mind for party favors like the baby shoe for future events..*wink*

Little Boy Blue

Yes! Another baby shoe from Creative Cuts and More. This set is for my DH's boss who is due this week and suppose to have a boy. I thought this little shoe (which is her nursery's color scheme) would be perfect as a decoration on top of a gift box. When I made this card I wanted to make sure that it would fit the color scheme as well as the Caardvarks challenge going on right now called "Critters", hence the puppy. Boys and puppies, they go hand in hand, right?! LOL

The baby shoe is cut from Coconut Velvet Paper, which you have to request. I ran it through my Cuttle Bug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder to get the pattern. You can hardly tell this shoe is made out of paper, it looks and feels like a real shoe....so stinkin' sweet!

Thanks so much for looking! Have a great week.

Baby Shoes

Yes, another post in today! I have been playing ALL day on these adorable die cut baby shoes from Creative Cuts and More. Well there is only one in this post, but there will be many more to come. They are so stinkin' fun to decorate! I think I have a problem...there are another 6 different shoes on my shelf in my studio...no seriously I have a problem! LOL

Anyway, I am rushing to get this post in before Kristina's color challenge deadline is up. SO... check out her post and see all of the other great pink, brown and white creations.

A winner...its a piece of cake!

Thank you so much to everyone who left such wonderful comments during the Creative Cuts and More blog hop this past week. I threw all of the comments in a hat and this is who was drawn....

Boni said...

Pam the red really 'pops'. Love the color combo, but my absolute fav is your cake. Looks good enough to eat, yet too beautiful to destroy. What an awesome idea for wedding favors. Fill the little boxes with treats for your guests (could use for birthday, bridal shower, anniversary, all sorts of ideas are running amok in this head) anyway a great take away. Very impressive!

Congrats Boni, you are the lucky winner of a cake set from Creative Cuts and More! We will be contacting you soon!

Speaking of cake...I had so much fun with the wedding cake I made that I decided to play around and make a slice of birthday cake. How fun would it be to make these for a birthday party filled with candies or little trinkets and give them away to all of your guests. The ideas on how to decorate these cake box slices is endless!

I had my cake box cut from Bazzill's Criss Cross Textured "Posie Pink" from the Bubble Gum Trio.

Bazzill Criss Cross - Bubble Gum Trio

Before assembling the box I ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Next I assembled the box using Killer Red tacky tape, then added all of the embellishments. The make the frosting on top of the cake I traced the cake on a piece of white card stock then used scalloped scissors to cut is out giving myself a good half and ink, so that the frosted "dripped" over the sides. Each balloon is made up of two stickers, one on the front and one on the backside with a piece of heavy wire in between to hold it up. The wire does go down through the top of the box. I hope you are all inspired to make a slice of cake or even a whole cake for your next special occasion.

Now head on over to Die Cut Diva for the Creative Cuts and More Customer Challenge! You could win one of three gift certificates!!

Thanks for looking, have a great weekend!

Bunny Rabbit

When I saw the challenge over at Caardvarks called "Kraft macaroni and cheese", I immediately thought of making this card. May seem a little odd, but I knew this rabbit from Creative Cuts and More would be perfect in what looks like kraft paper. Actually this rabbit is a diecut from light weight chipboard. The card and oval mat are also from Creative Cuts and More and worked perfect for this lovely spring view I created by sponging color over scraps of different shaped papers. The little flower stamp is from "Dreams and Dragons" which is an old retired Stampin' UP! set and probably my most favorite of all the stamp sets I own. The white fence was made using the word window punch and the sentiment are also from Stampin' UP! . The sweet little Daisy looking flowers in the top corner are also from Creative Cuts and More, which I set little button brads in the center of. Love those little buttons from Making Memories...too cute! I used the "Polka Dots" stamp set from Paper Trey Ink to create the clear embossed pattern on the oval mat. Shew...that was a lot of blah blah blah...sorry.

Hope you all had fun going through the blog hop yesterday. If you didn't have a chance to, please head on over to Diecut Diva and make your way through the blog hop. You have until this Thursday, March 5, 2009 11:59 PM MST to leave a comment at each of the stops including mine for a chance at some great blog candy!!

Creative Cuts and More blog hop...

Welcome to the first ever Creative Cuts and More blog hop. For those of you who just hopped on over from Lindsay's blog thanks for coming over. Lindsay and all of the CC&M design team are such inspiring woman and do an amazing job! If this is your first stop in the blog hop then make sure you go to where all the fun begins...Diecut Diva the blog of the Creative Cuts and More design team!!

For my first project I made a cheery, summery, red and white polka dot two tier wedding cake. You can purchase the cake boxes individually or enough to make one tier. You can also purchase the two tiers, like mine here as the "cake box set". The colors I chose are from Curious Metallics "Ice Gold" (white) and Stardream Shimmer Metallics "Jupiter" (red). This picture does not do the cardstock justice, it is shimmery and creamy, simply gorgeous! I used the "Polka Dots" stamp set from Paper Trey Ink inked up with Versa Mark and embossed with White EP from Stampin' UP! The boxes are put together with "Killer Red Tacky Tape". Creative Cuts and More carries Killer Red tacky tape in three sizes and boy do they sell it at a great price! To finish this cake off I added some satin lined organdy wire ribbon and some silk flowers I found a Michaels. Really super easy and what a great center piece. Another idea is make a one tier birthday cake and fill each box with party favors!

My next trio of projects I made the bride, groom and chair favor boxes from Creative Cuts and More. The brides dress is in Curious Metallics "Ice Gold". I used some double sided tape flourishes from Doodle Bug then added Dazzling Di
amonds from Stampin' UP! The tuxedo box is cut from Stardream Shimmer Metallics "Onyx" cardstock, which does come with a bow tie. I chose to make a tie out of ribbon to match the brides sash. The chair box is cut from Curious Metallics "Gold Leaf" cardstock. I tried using some wide ribbon to make the chair look like it had a skirt, like they do at wedding receptions. All three boxes are super easy to put together. There is no need for tape, which makes assembly super easy!

Now for my blog candy!! You have until this Thursday, March 5, 2009 ending at 11:59 PM MST to leave a comment here on this post. One random lucky person will win a cake box set from of course, Creative Cuts and More. That is 24 boxes in your choice of cardstock! FAB-U-Lous!!!! Don't forget to leave a comment (International viewers are welcome to join) for each of the stops in our blog hop starting at Diecut Diva for your chance at all of the different blog candy prizes. Friday, March 6th we will announce the winners.
