Caardvarks GCD Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome Caardvarks and GCD hoppers...what a hoppin' week this is huh? Did you all enjoy day one of our blog hop? If you missed out on it, please head on over to Caardvarks and check out the fabulous creations that were posted yesterday. As for today, Day 2 I am hoping you just came over from Jenn's blog. If you happened to start out here, at Paper Askew Studio then please click on over to Caardvarks to start from the beginning so you don't miss any of the fun!

Alright now that we have all of that out of the way here are my GCD creations using "Paris Nights" 21 sheet collection pack, "Shades of Black" rub-ons, and "Shades of Black" Epoxy Stickers. I made a thank you gift set which includes six 3 1/4" note cards with envelopes, six round trinket boxes, and a paper mache picnic basket box to hold everything together.

For the paper mache box I took a full 12 x 12 sheet of Paris Nights paper and tore it into strips then into smaller pieces. I used a decoupage glue to apply layers of paper to the box and then covered the entire bottom half of the box with the glue to finish. The lid was done using the same procedures.

I think this would be a great gift for a bride to be. She could fill the trinket boxes with candy or a necklace as a little thank you for the ladies in her bridal party. A little gift wouldn't be complete without a little note of thanks. The bride can use the note cards inside for just that. The bonus, the bride gets to keep the paper mache box for herself!

I absolutely love the Paris Nights set, it is simply gorgeous and the quality of GCD products is fabulous!

Now its time to head on over to Stef's blog to see what she has created.

Here is the list again:
