Fairy Princess

Creative Cuts and More is sponsoring the sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You this week, so I couldn't resist playing along. This is my take on the extra sketch by LuLu.

This card is Creative Cuts and More's  "Dress Window Horizontal" die cut.
Since I am on the CC&M design team I just happened to have one of these dress window cards on hand. I loved how LuLu used her dress card for her sketch. I was inspired to whip this card together in no time. Thanks LuLu!

Good luck to everyone who played along at 2S4Y this week. The lucky winner will be thrilled with their $20 CC&M gift certificate!

Don't forget to stop back here on Monday, March 2nd for the first ever Creative Cuts and More blog hop! I will have some fantastic blog candy up for grabs. More details on Monday!

Thanks for stopping bye!

Creative Cuts & More BLOG HOP coming soon...

First of all yeah!!! My computer is back and working faster then ever...thanks to my DH! Thanks Al!!

Now for some fun news, I will be participating in the first ever Creative Cuts and More blog hop  Monday, March 2, 2009. Be sure to come here on Monday and leave a comment for a chance to win a wonderful prize from Creative Cuts and More. There will be lots of gorgeous designs for you to view all with the theme of "Love" plus lots of chances to win prizes along the  blog hop.
If you or a friend is getting married soon this will be a great opportunity to get some inspiration for gifts, favors and decorations. Be sure to check out CC&M's blog "Die Cut Diva" as well, because on March 3rd we will start a customer challenge!

The card I have made here is part of the "Love/Wedding" theme. This is Creative Cuts & More's "Dress Card", which was cut out in a beautiful creamy shimmery card stock. CC&M's carries gorgeous card stock in just about every shade and the metallic card stock is absolutely luscious! CC&M also carries rhinestones and pearls which is what I used here to create the dress. I first lined the inside of the
card (just the back side of the dress) with strips of "Killer Red" tacky tape. (Seriously CC&M has the best price on the market for this tape, check it out) I then placed each pearl and clear rhinestone to fill up the entire dress. Once finished I removed the red plastic lining from the tape on the backside of the dress and covered it  with a square of white card stock. This keeps everything in place and gives a clean finish on the inside of the card. I then added some satin lined organdy ribbon to finish this card off.

Thanks for stopping bye!

Anniversaries...and all kinds of candy!!

Today is not only my wedding anniversary, but it is also my blog anniversary!! SO...in celebration of both how about some blog candy, since it has been like FOR-EV-ER!! Just leave me a comment with your favorite song right now. My latest is "Sex on fire" by Kings of Leon. The video is a little bizarre, so just close your eyes and listen if you go to the link..ha ha! Or if you understand what the heck the video means, please clue me in!
Speaking of songs, these are what the boys made for Valentines Day treats for their classmates. I cannot take the credit for this idea. I found it in Family Fun magazine, which is an awesome place to find cool kids stuff! Al altered the template a little so that instead of writing a playlist of songs, we could put a message in it. The best part, my 12 year old thought these were awesome. SCORE!
Well I am off to spend some time with the honey. We are celebrating 14 married years together. Thanks for stopping by....oh and I will give you until Valentine's day to leave a comment! I will let you know who the winner is on Monday morning. Thanks!
hugs,
Pam

Are you a fan of bacon??

As I mentioned earlier I have been playing around on Facebook. A lot of my friends have recently become "fans of bacon". Goes to show you can be a "fan" of almost anything! Well I thought this was hilarious, so the first friend of mine who became a "fan of Bacon" had a birthday this week. I couldn't help myself, I had to make a card  with a bacon theme. I call this character "Captain Bacon"....saving the world from the evil cravings of greasy goodness.  I punched out three squares, drew the scene and colored it in with my Copics.  Happy Birthday "Captain Bacon"!!
